2002 Anne Maguire Student Journalism Conference
The Linenhall Library was the venue for the 2002 Anne Maguire Student Journalism Conference. It examined the theme was “The Media In War and Peace".
Nik Gowling, the BBC World Presenter and Chief Correspondent gave the keynote speech. He was joined by Dr Tom Clonan, a retired Irish Army Officer with overseas service with the UN in Lebanon (1995 - 1996) and OSCE in Bosnia in the former Yugoslavia (1996), the Rev Norman Hamilton, who was involved in resolving the Holy Cross School situation and Jamal Iweida, The President of the Belfast Islamic Centre.
