2003 Anne Maguire Student Journalism Conference

The 2003 conference was rescheduled until March 2004, where the topic for discussion was ‘The Media's Portrayal of War and Peace Situations’. It was held in Dublin’s Law Society. The Speakers included BBC Northern Ireland's Mark Simpson, Victor Barker, whose son was killed in the Omagh bombing and Tererai Karimakwenda, from South West Africa Radio which broadcasts from London to his home country of Zimbabwe.
